Rough editorial estimates from the project notes, typically ±10–15 points. They describe a usable edition, not code coverage or a release date. A dash means no defensible estimate. Recorded checks were reviewed, not rerun for this website.

One classic. A new point of view.

RECREATION ~30% ESTIMATED

Reconstruction prototype

A C/raylib prototype now runs full 11-a-side matches headlessly. Recompiled PS2 match code also supplies the shared engine used by the Unreal version.

In place

  • PC and PS2 gameplay/animation/ball-system research.
  • Full-pitch 11-a-side prototype and headless match simulation.
  • Shared recompiled PS2 match engine for the Unreal presentation.

Still to do

  • Replace or complete approximate reconstruction systems.
  • Complete the front end, modes and faithful presentation.
  • Broader visual, input and original-game parity validation.
About this estimate

A running match is a major foundation, but the complete standalone faithful game and presentation remain substantially unfinished.

PLUS ~75% ESTIMATED

Candidate 112 · acceptance pending

A substantial PC/PS2 patch programme reshapes ball behaviour, passing, goalkeeping and team play. Candidate 112 is the latest documented CHD, paired with PC patch 056; the final gameplay verdict is still pending.

In place

  • Gameplay patches, live tuner/presets and PC feedback overlay.
  • PS2 112 and PC 056 built with targeted offline/native checks.
  • Current release folder has CHDs 099, 110, 111 and 112.

Still to do

  • Owner playtesting and acceptance on both platforms.
  • Consolidate patch choices and manager squad/formation work.
  • Native PC manager/scenario and HD interface parity.
About this estimate

Large implemented patch/tool scope and built candidates, with release selection, gameplay acceptance and consolidation still open. A milestone number is not a completion percentage.

PLUSPLUS ~45% ESTIMATED

Playable Unreal match prototype

The real PS2 match engine drives a playable Old Trafford match in Unreal 5.8, with skinned players, a score/clock, modern lighting and working goal-replay flow.

In place

  • Playable engine-backed match with controller and keyboard input.
  • Lumen, virtual shadow maps, stadium and camera work.
  • Goal replay, resume flow and animated adboards.

Still to do

  • Complete player kits, crowd, goals/nets and stadium content.
  • Menus, pause/full-time flow and night presentation.
  • Portable packaging and broader match/content validation.
About this estimate

Playable engine integration and meaningful rendering progress; one stadium/savestate and incomplete game presentation remain substantial limits.

LATEST DOCUMENTED CANDIDATE

112 · Nearest run

Filters run targets to a ±15° cone, then chooses the nearest player. PS2 candidate 112 and its PC counterpart 056 have recorded build and targeted checks; hands-on gameplay acceptance remains open.

Read this milestone
BUILT ISN’T THE SAME AS ACCEPTED.

Earlier candidates include failures, reversions and live-only experiments. Their status stays attached to the record.

Across PC and PS2.

GAMEPLAY

Control, movement, decisions.

Kick modes and power bars, timed and finesse shots, weak-foot rules, run triggers, player switching, 360° dribbling, R2 control, goalkeeping, weather physics and AI fixes. Each chapter keeps the platform’s actual verification status.

PC SUITE

Live tuning and feedback.

A PC proxy DLL, shared tuner and saved presets drive live settings. The overlay adds target/run radar, pitch lines, shot traces and kick telemetry. PC-only work includes fog, crowd brightness and Super Star difficulty; PS2 parity varies by feature.

STILL IN DEVELOPMENT

Manager and sharper UI.

The experimental manager embeds the PS2 engine. Native PC manager/scenario parity, squad and formation work, and native PC HD-text/widget hooks remain unfinished. PS2 font progress is not a completed cross-platform HD interface.

How to read the history

There are 84 distinct CHD build numbers and 85 named historical CHD filenames in the reviewed sources, not 106 accepted releases. Only 099, 110 (short row), 111 and 112 are in the current release folder. Other experimental images can remain elsewhere, including a quarantined failed 085 build. Nine numbers have no reliable change record in this audit: 025–031 and 033–034.

070–077 are feature milestones accumulated into disc 078; 056 produced no new image; 097, 105 and 106 are live-only patches. Some numbers were reused for unrelated work, and some candidates were rebuilt under the same filename. “Disc build” means historically documented, not available to download or accepted for release.

This is a notes-based catalogue, not a fresh gameplay test. Missing or ambiguous details stay explicit. Media slots are ready for your own GIFs, YouTube videos, Shorts or TikToks.
